Thank you for inquiring into my commercial work. I do both graphic and illustrative styles of work!
“Graphics” consist of 1-4 color images that can be cleanly printed on a variety of merchandise. If you would use it for embroidery (patches, hats, etc.), vinyl decals, stickers or similar, you’re looking for graphics. A car or truck, a coffee mug or an espresso machine, or a dog chasing a bone—these are the types of images that fall under graphics.
I do graphic work at a rate of $500 per every 2 graphics with a total of 2 revisions. The ownership of the graphic work goes to your company and I keep no rights to the work.
“Illustrations” are full color (generally watercolor in my style, although they can be flat/cartoonish/digital) hand drawn pictures for use on textiles, trading cards and game pieces, and a variety of marketing materials. A flower or bird for your line of household textiles, or a painting of a fantasy character for your card game—these are the types of images that fall under illustration.
Illustration work starts at $1,000/illustration with up to 2 revisions in between the sketch/mock-up stages and the completed piece. Any revisions after completion of the piece would be considered and billed as a new illustration. Your company licenses rights to the illustration(s) for a specific project (your card game, your board game, etc.) and I keep ownership of the rights to sell my own prints, play mats et al. separate from your company, its branding or its products.
A 50% deposit is required and the remaining 50% due after previewing and before delivery of the final product.
Timelines usually fall in the area of 7-10 days per image, but depending on the time of year I can already be booked out for weeks, so please let me know if you need your project completed faster and we can negotiate a rush fee depending on the scale of the project.
I look forward to working with you!
